Emilee obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Health (2012) from Brock University and a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University (2014). During her studies at Brock University Emilee developed a passion for rehabilitation and exercise as she worked as a student trainer with the Brock Varsity Women’s Basketball team. She also worked as a therapist at the 2013 Canadian Figure Skating Championships, working with elite athletes such as Olympic gold medalists prior to and following events.
Emilee’s love of CrossFit, health, and an active lifestyle led her to her current physiotherapy position at Rebuild Physiotherapy and Fitness. With her background in sports rehabilitation and orthopedics, Emilee teaches her clients how to take control of their rehabilitation and health. Emilee utilizes performance-based rehabilitation and exercise as her primary means of therapy while also applying traditional manual therapy techniques to achieve greater outcomes for her clients. Emilee’s post-graduate education includes courses in Level One Manual Therapy, McGill’s techniques for the lumbar spine, Kinesio-taping, acupuncture, post-concussion rehabilitation, myofascial release techniques, and Level One Crossfit Certification.
